Rachel Sartain Tenpenny

Thank you for visiting my website to learn more about me.

If you have ever written your own bio, you know it is not easy. Chatgpt had some great suggestions but I didn’t feel like they were authentic. Here is what you probably want to know about me if you are considering hiring me to help you in your real estate journey.

  • Growing up in a real estate family, I’ve had the privilege of learning about the industry since the mid-1980s. In 2002, while working on my Master of Science from the University of Florida, I called 7 Realtors one day to find out more information about their listings. None of the Realtors called me back! So, at 6 months pregnant and finishing my master’s thesis, I got my real estate license.
  • In my first year of real estate sales, I was the #1 sales agent in our office. This was great but led me to question, “Who will I learn from?” I switched offices at that point to learn from bigger fish in the pond.
  • In 2009, during the hardest years of the financial crisis, I was recruited to launch a franchise in downtown St. Petersburg. Knowing absolutely nothing about leadership or business management, I poured into books, classes, and seminars. The office turned out to be one of the most successful launches of Keller Williams Realty during that time. Within 18 months we grew from zero to #1 in sales volume in St. Pete, a position we didn’t relinquish until I stepped out of the leadership role in 2021.
  • Disenchanted once again by the lack of leadership and broker knowledge in the real estate community, I decided to open my own brokerage in 2023. Innovation, AI, NAR lawsuits, and market trends continue to disrupt our business practices. However, I strongly believe one thing remains true – the need for human intelligence. Real estate is an emotional rollercoaster. The psychology of the sales cycle can not be replaced by a computer system. In the past 2 decades, I have studied, implemented, taught, and coached 1000s of agents on the important aspects of emotional intelligence, communications, negotiations, contract skills, customer service systems, and so much more.

I’m here now, in this space of real estate brokerage and sales, to give buyers and sellers a better experience on their journey. Not all Realtors are the same. I hope to change the perception of the industry.
